Welcome to My Personal Page
Every day I have the privilege of seeing the courage of patients and families as they face this most difficult time in their lives. It amazes me and is humbling to see these patients and families welcome us in to their homes and lives. They are so kind and gracious even though they are hurting. I have learned so much from them and my life is richer for what they have shared with me. I walk this year in honor of all the patients I have taken care of in my 34 years as a hospice nurse and also the wonderful team members I have worked with on both the hospice and palliative care teams.
Please join me in raising funds for our patients and their families. I see first hand that the money raised benefits our patients and their familes directly.
More than 3,000 walkers, from our community are coming together to help raise awareness and funds for Hospice of the South Shore at the 26th Annual Walk for Hospice on March 18.
Hospice of the South Shore cares for patients facing life limiting illnesses and their families. A team of doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers makes each patient as comfortable as possible, most often in their own home, and ensure people live with dignity until the end of their life. Additionally, Hospice of the South Shore shows families how to care for a dying loved one, and supports the family emotionally and socially. Their goal is to help patients and their families have closure and peace at the end of life; making every moment count. Care is given regardless of their ability to pay and donations from the community help make this possible.
